Kaskaskia College Modernizes Athletics with Comprehensive Nevco Game-Day Technology

EDWARDSVILLE, IL, May 22, 2026 – Nevco Sports is proud to announce the completion of multiple scoring, video, and audio installations at Kaskaskia College in Centralia, Illinois. The upgrades span the college’s baseball and softball fields as well as its gymnasium, delivering a cohesive, modern athletic environment for student-athletes, fans, and the broader campus community.

Diamond Upgrades at Larry Smith Field

At the baseball facility, a 10mm Full Color LED Video Display serves as the centerpiece of the project, delivering live video, graphics, sponsor messaging, and dynamic content to enhance the fan experience. Complementing the display is a Royal Blue Model 1606 LED Scoreboard featuring bright amber digits and Electronic Team Names, providing bold visibility and a strong game-day presence throughout the venue.

A decorative arch truss showcasing the KC logo serves as a striking architectural focal point, while custom non-illuminated signage highlighting “Larry Smith Field” and dedicated sponsor recognition panels round out the installation, creating a polished, professional atmosphere from every angle.

A Transformed Gymnasium Experience

Inside the gymnasium, Nevco delivered a fully integrated video, scoring, and audio solution built around a 3.9mm indoor LED video display measuring 6.56 ‘H x 11.48 ‘W. The display provides crisp, vibrant visuals for live action, messaging, and sponsor recognition, with color-coordinated “Kaskaskia College” signage positioned above to reinforce school identity and tie the installation together visually.

Below the video display, a Royal Blue Model 2700 Scoreboard with Electronic Team Names and 1-inch white striping adds contrast and a polished finish. A speaker wall mount integrated with the Arena Pro 1000 sound system delivers clear, powerful audio coverage throughout the gym.

 

Across the gym, a custom Royal Blue basketball scoreboard measuring 11.48 feet wide by 2 feet high features amber Electronic Team Names for excellent visibility, completed by a set of SSC-T5 Shot Clocks for precise timing and competitive compliance.

The installation extends to floor level with a new 8-foot LED 3.9mm scorer’s table finished in royal blue padding, maintaining visual continuity and enhancing functionality for officials and athletes.
