Score Big with Upgrades Like Shelbyville

Nevco upgrades baseball, softball, and football fields at Shelbyville Central High School, elevating fan experience and athlete engagement.

EDWARDSVILLE, IL, May 7, 2025 – Shelbyville Central High School is excited to announce a new collaboration with Nevco, a leading provider of scoring and video display systems, to elevate the experience for athletes, students, and fans. The school has invested in cutting-edge technology for their baseball, softball, soccer and football facilities, ensuring a top-tier experience for every game.

“We are thrilled to partner with Nevco to provide our athletes and fans with high-tech technology that enhances the overall experience at our athletic events,” said Dee McCullough, Assistant Principal and Cooper Steel liaison of Shelbyville Central High School. “These new installations not only improve our sports facilities but also demonstrate our commitment to providing our community with a professional and exciting atmosphere.”

Baseball, Softball & Football Upgrades

Shelbyville’s upgrades will offer fans an immersive and professional-grade atmosphere with the addition of the new displays. The Golden Eagles will be equipped to engage the crowd with fan prompts and live game feed while extending their sponsorship capabilities by utilizing their displays to promote team supporters.

The full scope of the baseball, softball, soccer and football scoring improvements include:

  • 10mm Video Display: High-definition visuals for enhanced game-day presentations
    • A 9.9’H x 15.75’W display was installed at the baseball and softball fields
    • The football and soccer display features a 12.6’H x 22.05’W display
  • Scoreboards with Electronic Team Names: which allow Shelbyville to customize Team Names for every game
    •  The Eagles outfitted the softball and baseball fields with Model 1606 scoreboards
    • The football and soccer field will feature a Model 3619 scoreboard
  • Arched Truss: A custom-designed truss arch to frame the scoreboard and add to the venue’s aesthetic appeal.
  • Decorative Logo: A personalized touch with Shelbyville Central High School logos integrated into the scoreboard structure.
  • Non-Lit Signage: For additional school and team branding paired with sponsor recognition around the fields.
  • DGT-6 Delay of Game Timer: Installed at the football and soccer field, providing a precise and reliable timing system for keeping track of game duration.
